WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN & AROUND VILLA ZEPHYR?
The surroundings of Villa Zephyr are great. A rolling and wooded landscape filled with impressive castles and rivers. The house is 15 minutes from Monpazier and Beaumont du Perigord, two beautiful villages with lots to do in the summer. A 25-minute drive from the house, a beautiful drive through the forest, there is a nice river beach near the village of Limeuil where you can swim in the Dordogne.

Swimming in the Dordogne
Swim and eat crepes or savory galetttes at the cozy food trucks of the Dordogne beach Bac de Sors
Moestuin
Pick vegetables and herbs from Villa Zephyr's vegetable garden and use them for lunch or dinner
Local markets
Visit the 'bastide villages' and their local markets and look for beautiful products at the stalls for lunch or dinner.
Vintage & brocante
Visit the flea markets, vide-greniers and thrift shops and go hunting for items or clothing. (Ask us for the addresses of the best thrift stores!)
Restaurants
Go out for dinner at the surprisingly good restaurants in the area, such as Zio Enzo in Villereal or Table de Leo in Saint Avit Seigneur. Book in time to be sure of a place or ask us to make a reservation for you.
Mountain biking
Rent a mountain bike and take a tour over the wooded hills.
Looking at gardens & eating ice cream
Climb to the beautiful gardens of Limeuil, enjoy the gardens and the view and end the visit with an ice cream by the river.
Swimming & reading
Enjoy a book on the cushions by the pool until the sun sets. When the lights come on in the garden, it's probably time for dinner....
Yoga class in the Villa Garden
Take a private yoga class in the garden of the Villa with an enthusiastic part of your group. When booking, ask us about the options at the time of your stay.
Wine
Take a tour of the wine castles around Bergerac, take a tour, taste and buy some of the often very good wines.
Misuse
Rent a bicycle for a day's cycling tour or have bicycles delivered for a week to Villa Zephyr.

Picnic with a great view
Buy a picnic at Villereal market and then climb to the beautiful Biron Castle and enjoy the view while eating lunch.

Take a horseback ride along the old pilgrimage route to the beautiful Saint Avit Seigneur.
Marché gourmands with food trucks
In the evening, go to the 'marché gourmands' and eat at long tables what local dishes are for sale in the stalls. With a bit of luck you can dance until you're tired or have fun watching young and old dance together. (Oh yes, and don't forget to bring plates, glasses and cutlery from the villa, because everyone does that!)
